Speaker 1:

Hello everyone. Welcome to the new series Reels and Rhythms, hosted by me, kari Ann, and with my good good friend, mikaela. And Reels and Rhythms is a presentation of Carry On Friends in partnership with Style and Vibes and Breadfruit Media, mikaela. Welcome everybody to Reels and Rhythms.

Speaker 2:

Welcome, welcome the people, them, to Reels and Rhythms. You know me and Kari love to talk to things, them, and I think it's such a nice progression because, you know, kari and I have collaborated over the years in so many amazing ways and one thing we I mean one of the things I should say that we have, because we have so much in common is our love for documentaries, films, how things come to life and, of course, concerts and live music experiences. So I think this is just a natural progression for both of us. It gives us the opportunity to talk about, you know, things that we love. You guys get a look inside. So we look at chat-ins offline, where we're always atop both and you know we're always talking about these things in our day-to-day. So we were just like let's do it, let's do it, let's do it. So I'm excited, kari, for the people, them to kind of get another peak under our expertise and our interests.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I'm excited too. Kayla said it. You know reels and rhythms. We are giving or reviews, commentary on whatever is on TV, whether streaming or regular TV, what's in theaters, documentaries, whatever it is that's of interest to us. We watch almost everything, but we really want to be intentional about centering shows that are strong Caribbean stories or have strong Caribbean characters. So, of course, concerts is the same thing, so we are really excited about that.

Speaker 1:

This first season is really us sharing what we've done over the years in our individual shows, in Style and Vibes and in Carry On Friends, where we've done these reviews in separate episodes. So we want to share that with you, to reacquaint you and set you up for season two, which we're very excited about the wave of shows that we believe are on the horizon that have extremely strong Caribbean stories, not just Caribbean, american, but Caribbean in the UK and all over the world. So we're really excited about that, and so that's what season one is about. We want to set that up for you. We hope you enjoy the episodes that we've done and catch up on those episodes and get ready for season two. Any last words, mikayla?

Speaker 2:

No man, listen to season one and you're going to pre-little more, little more, little more.

Speaker 1:

Yes, so episodes are available on Apple Podcasts and you can go to carryonfriendscom to catch up on episodes. Read the latest and as we figure out more of what you also want from us, we'll incorporate that into Reels and Redims. So, until next time little more.
